Dear Parishioners,
We members of the St Vincent de Paul Society send out our heartfelt thanks to all of you for all your support during this past Advent and Christmas season.
All the household items you have donated are sorted, bagged and ready to be delivered to the friends who call for help. Some bags have already gone out to those who have expressed a need for them, as a sign that someone cares. Money donated by benefactors and earned through book sales has greatly increased our ability to help those facing financial distress related to illness, job loss and other calamities of life. Your donations are responsibly, carefully and prayerfully distributed. We may bring needed bags of groceries while also helping avoid power shut offs and evictions. Despite the eviction moratorium there are still those who must be evicted, for example when a house is condemned.Without your help, we could not do the work of serving the poor. Your gifts are so appreciated!
Please know that we pray always for every benefactor, and that each donation counts greatly to those in need. We wish you the best in life, and the richest revelations of the coming Lenten Season. We send our love.
Sincerely,
The Members of the Society of St Vincent de Paul
