We are a Catholic lay organization that seeks to expand our personal faith by helping those in need in our neighborhood. We do this through bi-monthly meetings (presently on Zoom) where we study scripture, pray together, and share our faith lessons from our teachers--the people we assist.
No. We have members who are not Catholic. We follow the social justice teachings of the Church which emphasize helping those in need without regard to differences in religion, ethnicity, and social/economic background. The most important qualification is that our members do their best to love and learn from the people we help and to love and learn from each other.

Thrift stores are something the Society occasionally does on the side. Founded in 1833 in Paris, we are a network of charity that is in every continent on the globe. With nearly 100,000 members in the USA divided into 4,428 parish-based conferences, our founding activity is to meet face-to-face with those seeking help to identify immediate and longer term needs.
